Between the altitude and our dodgy oven, this is my first successful batch of cookies that did not a) burn to a crisp, or b) fuse themselves to the pan. And yes, I blame outside factors for my previous failures, not my baking skills. WOO! And that is why it deserved not just one picture, but two. The trick? Set the oven for 100 degrees less than desired, bake everything on the top rack, and for about 1/2 the time recommended. Simple, really. No idea why it took me six months to figure that out...
