IIC Adventures

Last night we got together with fellow IIC students, alumni, and professors for dinner at a Chinese hot-pot style restaurant. We heard from some alumni (many of whom are unemployed... encouraging, isn't it?) and said farewell to those graduating. Margie (our program director) has a tendency to turn any gathering into a classroom-like situation, but luckily I was at the table of delinquents and we were too busy scooping overly done tofu out of our pot to participate.

You may not be able to tell here, but we had all of that food, plus TWO lobsters and TWO crabs. That were alive when we walked in the door.

Ahh, prawns with heads. Makes me think of Australia.

You're a pro, Samira!

Faelyn (left) ate all of the left-over tofu (ha!), while Suzanne (right) showed this Nebraska girl the proper way to eat seafood. With chopsticks.

And then we went out to a British pub for drinks. Yes, it made me a bit home-sick for London. But no, my British accent didn't come out.
